SendThisFile® today is announcing a suite of feature enhancements for its personal file transfer service. The update includes 256-bit AES encryption for file hosting, improved compatibility with download acceleration software, and resumable file downloads. The update strengthens the company's popular enhanced file sending product, dramatically enhancing usability and increasing security for users who send large files online.
"256-bit AES encryption is over 2,000 times more secure than the typical 128-bit deployment," said Scott Sexton, SendThisFile VP of Business Development. "This ensures that SendThisFile meets or exceeds the needs of the most demanding security and regulatory environments required by banking, legal, and other industries who send large files online."
The system update also allows recipients of files sent from SendThisFile customers to be resumed, should the file download session be interrupted by an intermittent Internet connection.
"With our resumable file download feature, even if a SendThisFile customer's recipient loses their Internet connection, they can resume a partial download without losing any progress," said Scott Sexton, SendThisFile VP of Business Development.
SendThisFile customer's recipients with slow Internet connections will also appreciate improved compatibility with download acceleration software, which will enable faster files downloads by splitting a file into multiple segments, which can then be downloaded simultaneously.
"Our improved compatibility with download accelerator software will help reduce overall file transfer time, making our service even more convenient to use," said Sexton.
The personal file sending features are free and available today to all paid SendThisFile customers.
