While hayfever has been a common problem for many people for decades now, Pharmacy2U believe that 2010 has seen an increase in the amount of people suffering. Many experts believe this may be down to cooler temperatures that have delayed grass growth, which is what prompts the allergic reaction in 95% of hayfever sufferers. However, as temperatures have risen this year, grass has received a growth spurt, which may have increased the pollen count – which is bad news for the 12 million or more people who have hayfever, a figure which has grown by more than four times in the past 50 years.
