Sometimes the buyer may go so far as to offer 30 minutes.”

Germaine continued, “The worst case scenario then unfolds for most vendors. The buyer asks, ‘What have you got?’, the vendor presents a few samples to the buyer and asks, ‘What do you want?’ This is a prescription for a rocky relationship and unprofitable relationship. Even if the buyer is interested, it will likely be a lengthy and time-consuming process, perhaps involving multiple meetings.

Every category in the U.S. retail market is highly competitive. The seminar will cover a variety of topics including an overview of the U.S. retail market, category rankings, and sales figures. Attendees will then learn the insider secrets of how retail buyers think, what makes a product successful, and how consumers make retail decisions.
