The Beginning of the Year
There are a few places in Bath that are home to the Bath Literature Festival which is held during March. A lot of people enjoy the Bath half marathon too; this happens in the central city. Whether you're participating in the marathon or just observing, it's a lot of excitement and thousands of people show up for it annually.
In April, you should go to the Easter Candlelit Concert that is held at the Bath Assembly Rooms. It's an awesome Easter event that offers a one of a kind atmosphere that is worth attending.
Of course, you can't miss the Badminton Horse Trials that are held in late April and mid-May. These horse events are held in Badminton, which is close enough to Bath to make it a must-visit.
The Summer
The Bath Spring Flower Show is the place to attend in May. The Royal Victoria park is home to the flower show during the starting week of May. You can sample fantastic food and drinks, check out the big flower tent, and peruse what the local vendors have for sale.
You can climb in a hot air balloon for the Bath Hot Air Balloon Festival. The city centre is home to this event, also in the Royal Victoria Park in mid-May. Don't ditch the park before nightfall, as the 'night-glow' show they have is something you don't want to miss.
The End of the Year
Lots of festivals and musical events make September and October two great months to visit in Bath. In November, there's fireworks and Bath Heritage week and there is that's without all the Christmas celebrations you'll have fun participating in during December.
