A recent survey run by an advertising company in Spain has revealed that ladies who carry leather laptop bags ( http://www.madmolly.co.uk/Laurige_Leather?c=161 ) have extra sex appeal for 72% of men.
Men between the ages of 18 and 65 took part in a survey which focused on some of the modern accessories women may carry to find out which add sex appeal and which don’t. One of the top performers in the survey was the leather laptop bag which 72% of men felt definitely increased the sex appeal of the woman who was carrying it.
Another top performing accessory in the survey was the handbag butler. Handbag butlers are designer handbag hooks for ladies to hang up their handbags safely when out socialising or even at home. 69% of men said that they found that handbag butlers increased the sex appeal of the women who use them.
One of the most unpopular accessories was what was originally called the bum bag but later became known as the fanny pack. Although many tourists still like to sport the fanny pack, only 4% of the men surveyed found that this added sex appeal to the ladies who wear them.
So why was the top performer in the survey leather laptop bags? The advertising company who ran the survey said that it could be a combination between a range of psychological elements.
Leather has been considered sexy by many people for quite a long time; be it leather skirts, leather trousers and so on. However the leather laptop bag is a relatively modern invention and therefore shows that these ladies are keeping with the current trends.
Additionally the leather laptop bag is considered a sleek accessory and by some it is considered to imply that the woman carrying it is smart. By implication some men found it sexy not only because of the look but also as it seems to imply a woman who is organised.
It could be said that the leather laptop bag gives a variety of messages to some men. It communicates style, sex appeal, intelligence, being trendy and being organised all at the same time.
