This year, Becker's Orthopedic & Spine Review published its list of the "Shoulder Surgeons to Know." Drawing together 67 of the most distinguished specialists in the nation, this year's list featured New Jersey Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Michael Gross. Practicing at Active Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in Westwood and Hackensack, Dr. Gross spoke on this unique accomplishment.
"I am honored to be included among this year's list of shoulder surgeons to know," explains Dr. Gross. "More than anything, I am proud for what it says about our practice." Along with several noted colleagues, Dr. Gross has been practicing at Active Orthopedics & Sports Medicine for nearly two decades.

This year's list also featured some of Dr. Gross' most noted credentials, including serving as Chief of the Division of Sports Medicine at Hackensack University Medical Center, and his membership of several professional organizations, including the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Asked to speak on the significance of being included among this year's top shoulder surgeons, Dr. Gross concluded succinctly: "For me, this recognition serves as an important reminder of the goal and mission of our practice - ensuring the highest quality of care for each and every one of our patients."

Dr. Michael Gross is a highly respected orthopedic surgeon practicing in New Jersey. Board certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Gross also holds a subspecialty certificate in Sports Medicine.
Dr. Gross received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine in 1983, followed by an internship in general surgery and residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Completing advanced fellowship training in Sports Medicine at UCLA Medical Center, Dr. Gross served on the medical staff of the UCLA Bruins.
