The new GXC-300 Intraoral Camera promises to be the latest dental imaging tool used in the fight to educate patients about the importance of good dental hygiene. The lightweight and slender structure of the GXC-300 Intraoral Camera make it ideal for getting close-up images of various common dental problems, such as tooth decay, without causing patient discomfort. Combining this with the latest video technology means that the GXC-300 gives the clearest, sharpest images yet so that patients' teeth can be seen chairside in unprecedented detail.

The hope is that by being able to show patients such clear, real-time images of how tooth decay effects their teeth, the patients will then feel far more inclined to maintain their own dental hygiene as they have seen first-hand, if somewhat graphically, the negative effects their dental neglect actually has on their oral hygiene. To aid this purpose of education, the GXC-300 comes with direct high-speed USB connectivity, making it easily portable and great for educational use in the public domain outside of the dental unit. Eventually, this new piece of dental imaging equipment should improve patient communication and, most importantly, gain a higher level of case acceptance among patients.

The GXC-300 Intraoral Camera makes the most of the latest optical technology to give an ultra-fine image. True optics are used to eliminate virtually all image distortion, to maximise image clarity intraorally the GXC-300 has a variable focus which can be altered using a sliding switch; this capability is incredibly useful for changing between external and internal views of the oral cavity. The GXC-300 camera also has the added feature of being able to perform quad-image capture, this function is activated by another side switch, and every image produced is sure to be brightly lit thanks to the state-of-the-art 4 LED lighting system present in the tip of the camera. For ease of use, the practitioner can place the camera holster anyway, safe in the knowledge that the image will always be stable whilst ensuring that the camera is still easily within reach; also, the camera can be continuously controlled via the imaging software.

For the latest dental imaging technology to best inform patients about their dental hygiene, the GXC-300 Intraoral Camera is the answer. The GXC-300 is now available from http://www.kavo.co.uk.
