T in the Park is a major music festival that has been held annually in Scotland since 1994. T in the Park Festival is named after its main sponsor, the brewing company Tennents. T in the Park was originally held at Strathclyde Park, but since 1997 has been held at a disused airfield in Balado, in Perth and Kinross, Scotland. T in the Park was originally a two-day festival but since 2007 has taken place over three days, and introduced in 2008 was the chance to upgrade a weekend camping ticket to allow camping access on the Thursday; the day before any musicians performed. T in the Park Festival is promoted by Big Day Out. T in the Park takes place on the same weekend as Oxegen in Ireland and shares a very similar line-up each year.
T in the Park has over the years presented the performances of top music acts like: Green Day, Stereophonics, Muse, Razorlight, Groove Armada, Pink, Black Eyed Peas, Kings of Leon, Keane, Kasabian, Katie Melua, Amy Winehouse, Keane, Snoop Dogg, Biffy Clyro, Kasabian, Kaiser Chiefs, Dizzee Rascal, Interpol, Editors, Paul Weller, Lily Allen, Arctic Monkeys, The Killers, Snow Patrol, James Morrison, Rufus Wainwright, Amy Macdonald, Scouting for Girls, Florence and the Machine, Paolo Nutini, Lady Gaga, The Gaslight Anthem, Eminem, Paloma Faith, Jay-Z, 30 Seconds to Mars, Joshua Radin, Ellie Goulding, Laura Marling and many more.
T in the Park 2011 will run from 8-10 July 2011 at Balado Airfield, Perth and Kinross, Scotland. Line up for T in the 2011 will be announced later on.
