Among the top headlines in the Washington Post was the news of the first triple-double by the Washington Wizards prized rookie, John Wall. It was reported to be the point guard’s best performance so far as his 29 points, 13 assists and nine steals sealed the victory for the Washington Wizards.
During a press conference Wall stated, “I was looking to play a very simple game and wasn’t trying anything spectacular. I guess that paid off.” He further said, “My coach told me to go out there and have fun. I did just that. Without forcing too much, I was just finding my teammates and making the right read”. John Wall expressed his joy on learning that the hall of famer, Magic Johnson was in the stands and witnessed his performance. “It’s a dream come true for any player”, he said.
Washington Wizards head coach, Flip Saunders wrote on the team’s website, “Its back to fundamentals. I told the players to enjoy their game just like they did when they were kids. I guess it worked.” Saunders was all praise for his star player and stated, “Wall did well. He played with great poise and showed maturity from his previous games.”
All eyes are on Wall now as Washington Wizards and Chicago Bulls (http://www.ticketluck.com/categories/Washington-Wizards/Washington-Wizards-Verizon-Center---Dc/index.php) meet at the Verizon Center.
