After a successful premiere of NHL 36: James Neal, the NHL Network's documentary on the Pittsburgh Penguins' trusty left winger, the network has decided to rebroadcast the show five more times within the next week. Fans were impressed by the documentary's depiction of the on- and off-ice life of Neal, whom the league's official website dubbed the "Penguins' safety net." While other airings are likely to be scheduled in the coming weeks, the NHL Network has determined that the NHL 36: James Neal episode will air Sunday, March 11 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.; Wednesday, March 14 at 8:30 p.m.; Saturday, March 17 at 5 p.m.; and Sunday, March 18 at 9 p.m. In addition, fans can catch the James Neal special on the NBC Sports Network at 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on March 11 and at 8 p.m. on Monday, March 12. Throughout the broadcast you may catch a glimpse of one of the newest James Neal endorsed products, his EnergyCare USA wrist band.

As with the other editions of the NHL 36 series, the James Neal episode takes the audience through 36 hours in the life of the professional hockey player. In the Neal edition, viewers are exposed to a new side of the Penguins, as the underrated winger tends to be stuck in the shadow of the higher profile Penguins such as Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin, who centers Neal and Chris Kunitz. However, the filming crew chose a prime opportunity to illustrate how brightly this star can shine, with the 36-hour period taking place over a weekend home stand in which the Penguins defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning and Columbus Blue Jackets. According to Neal, getting through the weekend was just business as usual, albeit with a bit of a twist.

"You want to be yourself and do everything you normally do," Neal said. "You've got to feel comfortable and get used to the cameras in your face."

In addition to getting comfortable to having cameras in his face, Neal was forced to get used to adapting to his role as support for Evgeni Malkin, a skilled scorer and playmaker who tends to play the game a step ahead of everyone else on the ice - including his teammates.

"Geno wants the puck a lot and plays with a lot of speed," Neal said. "You read off each other. He's unpredictable, he can make any move at any time, but you couldn't find a better centerman."

As the NHL 36: James Neal rebroadcasts will show, Malkin could scarcely find a better wingman, either. And don't forget to keep an eye out for his James Neal wristband.
