Comedy Hypnosis Show: A Great Way to Have a Fun Filled Night

We all like to feel like we’re in control of our lives and would like to imagine that we can’t be hypnotized. There are so many things that can get in the way of living life to its fullest… whether it be finances, stress, family, work, or relationships. It seems like there’s always an excuse to give up or take a step back. Modern society demands a lot of each of us. The economy is getting worse and the value of the dollar is dropping daily. Freedom today means living harnessed gracefully.

Everybody belongs to a group, organization or clique that needs help with raising money to better the lives of its members or beneficiaries. You might need a fundraising event idea or a corporate motivational presentation; either way, it can never hurt to find a way to bring those you hold dearest together, have fun and generate some revenue all at the same time.
What if while doing all three of the things I just mentioned, you could also convey a positive, life-changing message at the same time? Well, where there’s a will, there’s a way… and in this case the way happens to be through the power of Stage Hypnosis with a Comedic kick!
As I mentioned in my previous Hub, Meditation: Why and How? (A beginner’s guide to a misunderstood ancient art.), I have a friend named Bruce James. Recently he invited me to see one of his Comedy Hypnosis shows, where I had the pleasure of being invited on stage to be hypnotized.

Of course I took on the challenge without believing that I could possibly be put in a trance, nevermind a full on hypnotic state. Like most people, I like to believe that I’m in control of my own life and that hypnosis is just a gimmick like street magic and card tricks.
Of course, after my induction (entrance into a hypnotic state), an hour passed and I awoke. Sitting there like a lost, confused duck, I was wondering when this show was gonna start… or whether it was over already. It turns out that I had just went on the ride of my life…
The confusion went away after 30 minutes or so and I started recalling some of what just happened. When entering a hypnotic state you transition from the conscious to the sub-conscious part of your mind. In this condition, you may or may not be aware of what’s going on around you, but you’re definitely in for an experience of a lifetime.
Hypnosis is somewhat like going for a long drive in the evening. You start driving and get into it… pretty soon your home and you don’t really know how you even made it there safely.
Not being able to completely recall the events of the evening, I asked Bruce to bring me along to another show. We went to a Bar Mitzvah in West Hartford, CT where I got to watch the show from the audience. I got to see what I went through from another viewpoint and was more enlightened to the situation.
At the end of the show, Bruce leaves each of the participants, as well as the audience with some positive suggestions. These suggestions allow the individual to build up the strength and courage to go after their dreams. I had felt a strange confidence after my experience, and although I couldn’t place my mind on exactly what had happened, I definitely now understood the gravity of not only that experience, but of all the experiences of my life up until that point.
What I’m getting at is this: that we all look for truth in life; through religion, music, art, drugs, family, love, etc. Everybody wants to know who they are and feel like they’ve accomplished something. A Comedy Hypnosis Show is the perfect add-on to an event because it provides insight into the intrinsic nature of the mind, all the while providing entertainment for whoever may be in the crowd.
Since going to the shows, I’ve started looking for ways to help bring Bruce James’ awesome Comedy Hypnosis show to more people around me… not just for profit, but because I think it’s what the world needs right now. And hey, even if I’m wrong, what’s so bad about a night filled with laughter, positive messages and friends?
