Kim Kluxen Meredith credits her colorful childhood in the small town of Ames, New York for her strong character which she later had to call upon when she was widowed at the age of 40 and was left to raise two young children. Her book "Listen for the Whispers; Coping with Grief and Learning to Live Again" is a tribute to her strength and to that of her young family and their ability to work together for a new and happy life after the death of her husband David.

Dr. Heidi is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Open to Hope Foundation and an adjunct professor at Columbia University. She serves as a member of the board for the Compassionate Friends, http://www.compassionatefriends.org and on the advisory board for TAPS, Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors of those who died in the military. Dr. Gloria is Founder and President of the Open to Hope Foundation( http://www.opentohope.com/ ). She served The Compassionate Friends as a Board Member for 6 yrs. She is co-author of "Open to Hope: Inspirational Stories of Healing After Loss," "Teen Grief Relief" and "Real Men Do Cry."
