Starting Saturday September 24th and through the weekend, Titus-Will Fordwill be hosting a revolutionary gaming experience at Sprinker Recreation Center.Ford has created a sophisticated driving game that is free to play and even offers prizes! Contestants can win a $250 gift card for a perfect score in the simulation along with one randomly drawn winner selected from the weekend’s contestants.
This special event hosted by Ford combines sight, sound and touch to create a “video game on wheels”! While this concept isn’t groundbreaking, there are three things that make this an event that you’ve never seen anything like before.
First and foremost, this isn’t like a typical dealership test drive. This unique Ford Focus has been wired up to include advanced technologies such G-Force tracking, in-car cameras, lap timing, and a laser targeting system for displaying the best path on the track.
Second, all of the in-car monitoring systems will record all of the information about your drive, including the look on your face, vehicle telemetry, your lap time and throttle inputs.
Last, and here’s the best part of it all, a few days after the event you will get a link to your video! You can watch it online, e-mail the link for others to see, put it on your Facebook page, or post your video on YouTube. The video is yours to share with others and make them wish they’d been there!
Representatives of all the newspaper companies, TV channels and free lance journalists are cordially invited to make this event a successful one. This is a great chance to get out and make some memories!
