CAT 2011 takers, get ready for an exciting weekend as you can expect to see the published bulletin of CAT 2011 in leading national dailies. The bulletin, which will give all the details for applying for CAT 2011, is expected to be published on the first Sunday of August which is August 7, 2011.
To confirm this MBAUniverse.com spoke to CAT 2011 Convener Prof. Janakiraman Moorthy. He said, “IIMs always bring out the notification of CAT exam on the first Sunday of August every year.” However, the official website of CAT, www.catiim.in, will show the complete information on CAT 2011 from Monday, August 8, 2011. The updated website will have videos and practice tests which will make you familiar with the new test pattern and the navigation system.

Registration
The notification will give you the registration details. You will know the registration dates, the bank branches from where you can buy the CAT 2011 Vouchers and the process to register for CAT 2011.
Important Dates
This is the most important information you need to look for in the notification. This will give you the dates of the sale of the CAT 2011 Voucher from the bank branches, the registration deadline, the exam dates etc.
Participating B-schools
Every year, over 150 B-schools accept the scores of CAT exam apart from the IIMs. CAT 2010 scores were accepted by 147 B-schools apart from the IIMs. Last year, 36 new B-schools registered to use the CAT scores whereas 41 B-schools had opted out. This year too, there are chances that many new B-schools will come on board apart from the 13 IIMs.
Exam Centers
You will know the number of Exam centers across India where you can take the test. This year, three new test cities have been added to the list, which are Bhilai, Jammu and Dehradun. So the number of test centers will increase as well.
