San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce to Honor Region's Military at 65th Annual Flag, General & Sen

Join the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce to honor our region's military at the 65th annual Flag, General and Senior Officers Ball on Friday, July 29 at The US Grant. The Chamber inaugurated the Ball in 1946 to honor service members returning home from World War II. With a tradition over 60 years strong, the Ball will once again be the military social event of the year.

San Diego, CA, July 28, 2011 -- Join the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce to honor our region's military at the 65th annual Flag, General and Senior Officers Ball on Friday, July 29 at The US Grant. The Chamber inaugurated the Ball in 1946 to honor service members returning home from World War II. With a tradition over 60 years strong, the Ball will once again be the military social event of the year.

“San Diego’s military leaders not only provide service to our nation and abroad, they also play an active role in our region’s business community,” said Ruben Barrales, Chamber president and CEO. “Their participation helps to ensure San Diego thrives, and we are grateful for this opportunity to honor these deserving individuals.”

This year's distinguished military honorees include: Rear Admiral William D. French, Commander, Navy Region Southwest; Rear Admiral C. Forrest Faison, III, Commander, Navy Medicine West and Naval Medical Center San Diego; Major General Ronald L. Bailey, Commanding General, 1st Marine Division; Logistics Specialist First Class Angel Santos, USN; and Special Warfare Operator First Class Thomas Nefzger, USN.

With over 75 officers scheduled to attend, this gala black tie affair is a premier opportunity for businesses, individuals and stakeholders to recognize San Diego's brave military leaders for their service to our nation and partnership with the local business community. Fine cuisine and outstanding entertainment and dancing coupled with a worthy ceremony will surely make this an unforgettable evening.
